Dumpster Gang multiplayer

Local sharing on Switch 2

Nintendo Australia says the Switch 2 version supports GameShare locally or online via GameChat. This is a single platform source for that feature. Sharing a game between devices is different from couch co-op on one screen. See the Switch 2 notes.

Same-device split-screen: unresolved

Steam lists Online Co-op but no Local Co-op category. The Xbox store metadata says Shared/split screen. No explanation reconciling those listings was found in the sources checked on 29 October 2026. We preserve the disagreement and do not promise same-device play.

Play between Steam, Xbox PC, or consoles is a separate unanswered question: crossplay status.

Questions

How many players?

One to four. Solo is supported. Online co-op is the mode Curve and Steam both name.

Is there couch co-op or split-screen?

Same-device split-screen is unconfirmed: Steam has no local co-op category, while Xbox metadata says shared/split screen. Nintendo separately confirms local or online GameShare between devices on Switch 2.
